Honey Black Tea

Sanxia’s “Honey Black Tea” is produced in minimal quantities and is considered a fortunate byproduct of eco-friendly farming promoted by the government. Because no pesticides are used in the tea gardens, the tea leaves are naturally bitten by the smaller green leafhopper (locally known in Taiwanese as “zhuó xián”), and the tender buds are then harvested to create this unique tea. When brewed, the tea releases a rich and distinctive honey aroma. Its flavor is sweet and smooth with notes of ripe fruit, honey, and floral tones. The fragrance is elegant and lovely, resembling Baihao Oolong, yet it retains the round and mellow mouthfeel characteristic of black tea—hence the name “Honey Black Tea.”
