A platform dedicated to providing locally fresh fruits and vegetables

To continue promoting organic agriculture and implement the year-round policy of supporting small farmers, the Agriculture Bureau referenced Japan's "direct sales depots" and "organic specialty counters" to establish the “New Taipei Small Farmer's Fresh Shops” brand. This initiative connects farmers' associations with local small farmers and uses farmers' association supermarkets as the sales platform to create diverse distribution channels.

"New Taipei Small Farmers’ Fresh Shops" include farmers’ association supermarkets in Banqiao, Tamsui, Sanchong, Luzhou, Shulin, Jinshan (including the Wanli branch), Sanzhi, and Shenkeng. They also encompass the Taishan Public Market, three locations operated by the Tucheng Farmers’ Association, ten rural community shops managed by the Xizhi Farmers’ Association, the Wugu Farmers’ Association’s direct sales station, and PX Mart branches—Banqiao Yunong Store and Wensheng Store.

Small Farmer's Fresh Shops

The "New Taipei Small Farmers’ Fresh Shops" brand maintains strict quality control. In addition to requiring organic certification, the Bureau also dispatches personnel to conduct on-site inspections of farming practices before providing guidance and facilitating product placement. In the future, the initiative will be expanded to the New Taipei Hope Market and other well-known retail channels to broaden the sales network for organically grown vegetables produced by local small-scale farmers.

The Agriculture Bureau supports the program by planning a unified identification system and packaging. It has created a dedicated webpage introducing the background, farmers’ information, and stories to promote and market the project. With both “organic certification” and “guidance by the New Taipei City Government Agriculture Bureau” as dual guarantees, consumer confidence is enhanced. It is also hoped that more small farmers will be encouraged to join organic farming and advance agriculture toward sustainable operations.
